Centennial @ Work
Your Work Life Matters

Ministry Description in Short:

It is biblical to work. We all have "jobs" and God calls us to be Christians in our work place. C@W is a ministry to help all come to know how work is God's calling for us, to learn where opportunities exist to be representatives of Christ in the work place and to support each other through those experiences.

Most of us are in paying jobs, some more than others, but the word "jobs" is quoted above because not all jobs are for pay. A parent raising kids at home or a student going to school are also examples of work. God calls us to show his redemptive love every day, so while we come together once or twice a week as a church, we go out into the world every day.

More Detail:

Many Bible verses show that God considers work to be a vital part of life. There are over 800 references to work in the Bible in different forms, more than all other words used to express worship, music, praise and singing combined. C@W's goal is to explore these teachings in their context and to apply them to present day. We are bombarded with decisions every day that impact the amount of time and quality of our relationships. This is true at home and at work. God is at work in every one, all of the time. We're called to see it and to make decisions to move in his direction.

C@W consist of regular gathering and teaching of those of us at work to discover his present call for each one through many different resources such as:

  • Study Classes (one begins March 14th, click here for more information)
  • Sermon Topics on Work (starting Fall 2010)
  • Maestro WorkLife Coaching (available 24/7, click button below)

Maestro is an online tool that gives focused guidance about your work life. It starts by presenting a summary of God's call to work. Through an online survey, you can hone into particular areas of interest and receive weekly emails on that area of interest. It is free for those that sign up through CCC and completely confidential. No personal information is shared with the world or any church members including the CCC leaders of this ministry. What is shared is the summary of the areas where teaching could be more effective for all who connect to Maestro through CCC. Keep reading for more details about signing up.
